Student Competition with $10,000 in Prize Money(GWS Wellness sharks)

Now Accepting Submissions

A highlight at the annual Global Wellness Summit (GWS), the Shark Tank of Wellness global student competition gives three university students a transformative opportunity to network with the top visionaries and business leaders in wellness. Finalists will attend the 2024 GWS in St. Andrews, Scotland, November 4-7. Submissions are due by June 30, 2024.

Who Can Participate? The competition is open to both individual students and teams of students, age 18 or older, from anywhere in the world.

What Makes a Strong Submission? GWS Wellness Sharks—top business leaders and investors in wellness—are seeking innovative new concepts that would make positive impact in the wellness industry and have the potential to be a profitable new business venture.

When Is the Presentation to the Sharks? The presentation will be during the GWS to be held November 4-7 in St. Andrews, Scotland. The Wellness Sharks will ask questions of the students, who will defend their innovations and make a business case for its feasibility on stage in front of the hundreds of attending Summit delegates from over 50 countries—a “who’s who” in the global wellness world.

Why Compete? The top three finalists, along with their professors, will win a trip of a lifetime to the GWS. This is a priceless opportunity for students to mingle and network with global visionaries, and perhaps even find an investor for their business idea. The first-place winner will receive $5,000; second place will win $3,000; and third place will win $2,000.

How to Enter the Competition? Interested students must register by submitting this Entry Form first. Only registered contestants will receive the necessary information to complete the submission process, including a link to the Concept Submission Form requiring a one- to two-minute video presentation which must be submitted by June 30, 2024. Complete rules and regulations may be found here
